Dr. Amanda Brown is a native Oklahoman from Claremore. She was a National Merit Scholar and All-State gymnast in high school. Her career in medicine started in high school as God lead her to become an EMT at the age of 17. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, is fluent, and welcomes Spanish-speaking patients.

She graduated AOA from the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine-Tulsa at the top of her medical school class. She completed residency with In His Image Family Medicine Residency in Tulsa, growing her faith and medical skills simultaneously. In pursuit of becoming a well-rounded physician, she also completed a Christian counseling tract during her time in residency. After residency, she moved to Oregon where she owned her own practice before transitioning that practice to a direct primary care clinic. In 2018, she returned to Oklahoma to be closer to her family.

Dr. Brown enjoys teaching (anyone who will listen, including her patients) and prior to starting with Remedy was an Assistant Professor of Medicine with OU and then faculty with In His Image. She has extensive outpatient clinic experience including managing a COVID unit in a skilled rehab facility. Dr. Brown practices full-spectrum family medicine for all ages and genders including women’s health, geriatrics, joint injections and common in office procedures. Dr. Brown loves children and looks forward to keeping them smiling and healthy.

She loves to travel with her family and has been to 48 of the states and served on mission trips to Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, and Egypt. She met her husband while at OU and they now have 4 wonderful children, Judah, Abigail, Aryn and Jaalam. Her husband works for Owasso Preparatory Academy where her kids attend school and he is a local pastor for the Church of God (7th Day). Dr. Brown has a passion for children’s ministry and teaches Sabbath school class at her church and runs a national VBS every other summer.
